Getting ready for the program

Some simple tasks to help you prepare for the program.

How to succeed in the program

As you already know, high-intensity motivation often fades quickly.

For example: New Year’s resolution enthusiasm is quickly squashed by late-January reality.

That's why high motivation, big dreams, and lofty goals aren’t enough to accomplish meaningful things.

It's also why planning, preparing for, and committing to your studies is so important in this program.

Trust me, we know this. We're all busy here at PN. And we know that you’re busy too.

So we designed this course to accommodate all the stuff you've got going on in your life. Full schedules, travel, and life’s other inevitable imperfections can all be dealt with.

Which is why we expect you to be fully engaged in this program. Why “busy” is no excuse. All you have to do is...

Make an appointment with yourself

If you’re here, it means you want to be the best coach you can be.

And being the best means you need to plan, prepare, and commit to a regular coaching development practice.

So:

  • Grab your calendar.
  • Look at your schedule.
  • Block off some time for this program, every day.

We recommend 20-30 minutes a day to read and understand the textbook materials, to watch your video lectures, and to work through the course practice questions.

That’s a total of about 3-4 hours a week you’ll need to commit to the program.

It doesn’t matter when you do this — whether you’re a morning lark, night owl, or “knowledge-nooner” kind of person.

The only thing that matters is that you book the time. Every day.

Seriously, take a minute and check out your calendar. Figure out when, exactly, you'll carve out time for your studies. I'll wait.

Got your appointment booked? Great!

Now remember: Stick to your appointment! Because it’s an appointment with and for you. For your development and growth.

Since you'll aim to stick this appointment for the duration of the course, let's practice keeping the appointment. Effective immediately.
